Jessica Egbert, PhD, is passionate about people and strategy – and her efforts with scores of organizations have resulted in increased revenue, improved systems and efficiencies, and reinforced cultures of positivity, accountability, and communication.
In addition to founding Limelight Leadership, Dr. Egbert served with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions for over 20 years – previously as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Engagement and currently on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Egbert was the Chief Innovation Officer for RBM Services and the RBM family of companies and currently serves as the Chief Program Officer at the non-profit Saprea.
Dr. Egbert has served with incredible people in a variety of leadership roles, including the American Council on Education Women’s Network Executive Council, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Utah Women in Higher Education Network, the Board of Directors of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, as Chair of the Women’s Business Network of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Utah Valley University Community Advisory Council, the BusinessQ Magazine Editorial Board, the Provo City Economic Development Strategic Plan Steering Committee, the Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon Licensing Board of the Utah Department of Commerce Division of Professional Licensure, and as Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross – Central and Southern Utah Chapter. Egbert was elected to the Mapleton City Council in 2020. She is the co-founder of the Elected Women of Utah organization.
Dr. Egbert is the recipient of many industry and community awards for excellence in achievement, leadership, and service. A recognized presenter on strategic planning, communication, influence, career development, and leadership, she has likewise authored numerous related publications. Dr. Egbert holds a BS in psychology, an MEd in instructional technology, and a PhD in leadership. Her dissertation research on non-cognitive factors within hybrid doctoral education was published in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Web-based Learning and Teaching Technologies.
When asked about her epitaph, Dr. Egbert suggested it’ll read, “She cared and she got crap done.” She loves traveling with her family, the occasional shark encounter, and, unfortunately, tater tots. She and Dan have been married for 22 years and have a six-year-old son. The family resides in Mapleton, Utah.
